The Hope We Profess

I Peter 1:3-9 (split into paragraphs for easier viewing)

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time...

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed...

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

A verse to remember today: Hebrews 10:23, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."

I thank God for his faithfullness. When God said, "Lay your burdens at my feet", he meant it. So, before they took me back for my c-section to deliver my 27 week baby that is just what I did. I have never felt that kinda peace before in my life and I knew that God had everything under control. I have those days where I break down but I know that God is right there taking my burdens just as he promised. In this world your faith is continually being tested but there's my story and other storys that show God's love is real and he dosen't want us to suffer, we just have to reach out for him and he'll be there.

You have an amazing story with all three of your children. And I think clinging to Him is the best thing for anyone to do in any trial in life. And the power of prayer! Prayer is so powerful, and so often Christians don't even realize what God can do through prayer. Life is so hard, but I can't imagine living life without being able to rely on His unfailing love and faithfulness.
